That was his first experience with the sea and the beach. When the waves rushed up to him, he could quite make them out so he gave some throaty barks as if he could frighten them away. He trains easily and has learnt to walk with his harness well. Much time has to be spent reinforcing his lessons as he is certainly a personality plus (you had described him very aptly).

Happy Holidays!

NEWS FROM OUR LABRADOODLES IN THE WORLD

Dear Kathy,

We visited yoru website recently and saw a photo of one of Higgin's siblings. Thought you might want to see how much Higgins (Cookie + Zappa's pup born April 3rd 2007) has grown. He is 7 1/2 months old and such a bundle of joy for Amanda and I and the rest of our family. He is certainly a personality plus (you had described him very aptly).

He has adjusted well to our tropical Singapore climate and you can see from the photo that we have managed to keep his fur pretty long.  Higgins (Cookie + Zappa's pup born April 3rd 2007). He is 7 1/2 months old and such a bundle of joy for Amanda and I and the rest of our family.

I would love to "hear" what she thinks, as the expressions on her face are just beautiful. Mind you, we only have to have been gone 5 minutes and we get the same reception from her.
Nothing like a dog to love you so selflessly. And nothing like a labradoodle to cuddle up to when you've had a bad day.

Anyway, hopefully I won't be so long in between emails next time.

Hope all is going well at Cloudcatchers.

Cheers - The Gathercoles

NEWS FROM OUR LABRADOODLES IN THE WORLD

Hey Kathy,

Thanks so much for remembering Jewls birthday - we had all remembered, and were kind of in trouble because we had forgotten my husband's birthday the
day before!

She continues to bring our family much delight and joy and we would be at a total loss without her now.

I have included some photo's of her taken over the last couple of months. We had a family holiday down on the coast of Victoria just after Christmas this year and took Jewls with us. She loved the beach and slept better than all of us at the end of each day.

Let's see how the memory is - she came to the footy with us each Saturday throughout last year's footy season, we drove to our home-ground oval about two weeks ago and she got so excited - I bet she thought footy season was on again!

Our two boys play cricket during the summer and she often joins us then, though it is much to her annoyance that they won't let her be one of the fielders. A job she is more than capable of filling.

One of the highlights of our day is when we walk in the door after work/school and she is there to greet us.

Hi there Kathy,

Its been a while so I thought I had better let you know how Bagheera is settling in.

Well let me tell you, we are all one big happy family. He is just marvelous. Simply the best dog ever. We love him dearly, he is just a delight. Very easy so far in our little bits of training. Night time is no problem he has been sleeping through since his 4th night. He knows where to do Bizzo (his business) and off he goes. The rare accident, but we have had a bit of rain. Not that the rain stops him. Tony came in the other day and asked did you buy a fish or a dog"?  I said "why"? "Cuz he loves the water the rain" he is a cracker an absolute cracker.

He's good in the car on the little trips that we have done with him, nothing big or long yet. Working on the lead at the Mo.
Sit and Drop is good. He loves his toy basket. He goes over checks out what he wants and eventually chooses something to play with. He is simply FANTASTIC. We just l;ove him to death. We are so happy and have you to thank. I did good choosing you, and you did good choosing him for us.

Thanks again, oh.........................do you want my 4 year old? We will take 3 more Bagheera's. ha! Ha! Ha! I can hear her having a whinge and he is at my feet peaceful.

Hi Kathy and Happy New Year

Firstly, hope the flood waters haven’t damaged you, the dogs or Cloudcatcher, tho’ it did look like you were in the middle of it.

When you get a moment, we’d appreciate your thoughts on the likely weight Charlie will be when fully grown.
She’s almost 6 months old now and has grown from 8kgs at 2 months to 17.5 kgs now.

Finally, as you can see from the attached pic, when the weather allows it, she insists the roof is down on the car  so that her ears can flap properly.

Cheers
Peter and Janet
